High-visibility (Hi-Vis) polyester knitted fabrics are materials valued for their durability, abrasion resistance and colour fastness. With the right choice of synthetic fibres, they can be washed repeatedly without losing their high-visibility properties. Standards and certifications for Hi-Vis knitted fabrics The primary standard is EN ISO 20471, which defines, amongst other things, the surface area of fluorescent materials and their behaviour after washing. Additional certifications, such as OEKO‑TEX STANDARD 100, confirm the safety of the raw materials used, while compliance with ISO 15797 guarantees resistance to industrial washing and drying processes.
